I forgot to mention on Friday afternoon at work, there was a gentlemen who came in showing me 2 different types of yarn--a boucle natural color and a thick & thin white cotton mix yarn. 

He loves my crochet ensembles I wear....He asked me if I could use either one...Hey, aren't I like foamin' at Dat Hook?!!!  But of course

He came back later with a huge skein he wound himself...I don't have a picture of it just yet.  My daughter went to a rock concert last night and had a blast with my camera/video recorder so we'll wait a spell

Nonetheless, I do want to mention this

I rec'd an email early morning about participating in an upcoming fashion show at GA State University with Infinite Appeal Modeling Organization on April 7 at 7pm.  I LOVE IT!!!!

That's my good news for today, plus heard back from the coordinator of the show at Lawson College in Birmingham.  They're still negoitating the date...just send me the flyer is all I ask. 

Well, I do ask for more but that'll be for a later time....wink

Hubby's car is out of commission, so that puts a slight damper on my going ons BUT where there's a HOOK, there's a way...I think I'll hook me up a bikini top or two.  Catch you on the rebound

Gorgeous day. Girl, get out of the house! Allright, allright but I gotta have someplace to go--they say I'm too dressed up just to go to the mailbox. Well, the mail does need pick'g up. Yeah, but um like do you really need an excuse to DO YOU, Hooker?!

It's such a lovely day that I'm gonna take my laptop out for a walk....

I had an appointment to help out locally for a charity I had mentioned earlier.  The charity is MDA, Jerry's Kids, but there was a mixup and I will wait until this business' next charity engagement, Children's Miracle Network, in April sometime. 

It's all good, I just go with the flow/loop/stitch....

A lady comes up behind me to remark on my green/yellow variegated crochet shell skirt (the back is all white). 

"Did you make that?"

yep, sure did.

Oh yeah, quite so but I do have a skirt/lining underneath.  And look, you're not even a guy, oooooo!

I had an interesting day at work--got another chance to speak Chinese to a few folks...They get such a kick out of it, and Silly, "how-can-that-smile-NOT-hurt your face Gina loves it too! 

Hey, gotta mention about 2 weeks or so back a young mother with her toddler comes in.  She's speaking Chinese and he kept watching me.  So, she asks him, "Ni kan shenma?" (What are you looking at?)

I said to her, since she didn't see me, "Wo."  ("Me") She was floored!   And you, of course, know my face was hurting!  I love blowing them away! 

Whenever I get enough time and a great opportunity, I'll probably continue studying the language.  At times I'll play a kung fu movie in its original language just to hear that lovely language again, ahhhhh...

I wish I had way more time in my day to do more hookin' but alas I have what I have so gotta hook more hours than I can imaGINA...oh well, it's all about balance anyway

Rec'd quite a few compliments on my variegated shawl (pictured to the left thure) today, which is always a joy!  Actually, it's a KATRINA survivor,  (like me) hmmmm, except for the matching skirt.

That picture was taken pre-KATRINA and I reiterate, KATRINA WILL NOT DEFEAT ME!!!!
